The Bible is full of accounts of men and women who encountered seasons where God steered them away from the familiar into new territory of great beginnings often shrouded by uncertainty and at times great pain. We must learn at these times to anchor our hope in His unfailing love; to refocus our gaze on Calvary and to trust in the God who is able to transform the ordinary into the spectacular for His glory.
An example in scripture is that of the children of Israel. Psalm 118:16 declares “the right hand of the Lord does valiantly, the right hand of the Lord is exalted”. It is this right hand that snatched Israel from the hand of her oppressor and a new day was prophetically declared unto them through Moses in Exodus 12:2
“This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you”.
In the same power and under the same Prophetic unction I decree to you as you read, that THIS day, THIS moment, THIS season and THIS month shall be the beginning of months to you and your household in the name of Jesus.
Likewise, as Christians our Salvation and redemption was paid in full on the Cross. Christ emerged victoriously delivering us from eternal damnation. The ancient battle over sin and death was won and every argument was put to rest. Our freedom was purchased through the precious sacrifice of His blood, which is ALL our boast and confidence.
Let us therefore lay hold of God’s promises for us in this house as we embark on this great journey. Finally, let us not forget the writings of Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:13-14 “Forgetting those things which are behind and looking forward to the things that are ahead, I press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ”
